Having had a fascination with Early American Pattern Glass (EAPG) the production of which started in 1840, I was thrilled to discover that some of the same pattern forms used for curtain tieback were also used for picture hangers with merely a change in the hardware used. The pieces we will be offering range from original, early reproductions to late reproductions. We have taken the liberty of adapting them to picture rail or nail hanging hardware. Vintage pieces are limited in number. Number M711 is a late reproduction, and comes in eleven colors, and is available in any quantity. Email us if you are interested in matching curtain tiebacks.

A rare Amberina piece! Just a little history for you.... Amerbina glass is an exquisite blend in which a yellowish amber, merges into ruby-red. It was patented in 1883 for the New England Glass Company at East Cambridge, MA. and was produced extensively there and by the successor company, the Libby Glass Company of Toledo, Ohio into the l890's. The base metal was an amber glass containing some gold, and the tinges were developed by applied reheating.
