Our thanks to Esther and Ken Armstrong for sharing with us a picture of the Ball & Chain Portiere we did for her home in Columbus, Nebraska. It would appear that her home is as charming as she is. Thanks, Esther!
And here are a few words from Esther:
"I own and operate an Antique Shoppe in the Historic Downtown of Columbus! Ken is a custom Home Builder, and has owned his own construction business for 24 years. This is our third house we have built ourselves.
Since my dream has always been to live in a genuine 1880's Grand Victorian home, and Ken's wishes were to only live in a home he built himself, we had to compromise!
So, we built this 2 story Victorian, with octagon windows and 2 turret roofs! Our goal was to replicate as much of the time period as possible. It is complete with an open staircase, period oak woodwork, fireplace, french doors, stained glass, and antique lighting. Imagine how excited I was to finally find someone who makes Portieres! We have had so many wonderful comments on it!
Thanks again Carol, it is beautiful!"
We are reproducing this lovely Ball & Chain Portiere on a custom order basis.
